I'll start of with saying that this movie is a blast lớn watch. I feel as though it's competently made, has amazing action, great stuntwork & the CGI was used in a subtle way that still holds up.
The biggest problem with Terminator 3 is that it's a sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day; và it will always be compared to lớn its predecessor. No matter what came after Judgment Day, there was just no way that it would hold a candle against the 2nd installment. Once you take that into consideration, Terminator 3 because instantly more enjoyable.
Arnold is still in his prime (although at the tail over of it) in Terminator 3 and he plays a very enjoyable cyborg. Also, Kristanna Loken played an awesome villain as the T-X. It was a bit a retread using a physically-weaker appearing Terminator lớn go against Arnold, but I really like how the T-X wasn't trying khổng lồ copy the T-1000; it was it's own thing & used different strategies và tactics lớn get the upper hand, but it was still very capable và dangerous.
The subtle humor that was present in Terminator 2, makes a return in Terminator 3 lớn break up the dread. From Arnold looking tough with pink start-shaped sunglasses khổng lồ firefighters making an attempt lớn lift him onto a stretcher after an explosion. Not to lớn mention Dr.Silberman making a hilarious cameo tied it all together, making it really feel lượt thích a cohesive trilogy.
& finally, I love the ending of Terminator 3. In my opinion, it's the darkest of the three movies & it stuck with me more than the endings khổng lồ Terminator and Terminator 2. While the other movies ended on a hopeful or partially hopeful note, Terminator 3 was just straight up "Nothing can be done to change fate. All of your struggles over all of these years were for nothing. Judgment Day will still happen và nothing can be done khổng lồ prevent the future war.". It's such a poignant, gut punch of an ending.
In closing, give Terminator 3 another chance. You might enjoy it more than you think you would. At the very least, it's better than the terrible Genysis & Dark Fate.
Although T3 never reaches the heights of the second movie, it is a welcome addition to the Terminator franchise. Read critic reviews
