Every episode of One Piece giao dịch with its required snail"s pace differently. Most episodes are generally one-to-one in terms of their translation of a given manga chapter, và so the contents are just the material of that chapter evenly drawn out over twenty minutes. However, that"s not always the case. In instances lượt thích this week"s episode, sometimes they"ll smush all the interesting material into the back half and let the front be a bunch of drawn out reaction shots. This means that the first half is slow, sometimes with a dramatically appropriate pace và sometimes with far too slow of a pace, while the second half gets khổng lồ move with all the fire và energy that the rest of the series covets.

Bạn đang xem: One piece episode 722 ワンピース anime review

This week"s episode starts us off with an incredibly slow và long sequence of Doflamingo"s birdcage slowly closing in on the country of Dressrosa. Buildings are being sliced through as the townsfolk make a run for safety towards the middle. The countdown before Dressrosa"s demise has begun, meaning Luffy & Law only have so much time khổng lồ finally bring an kết thúc to this epic battle. Most of this nội dung is pretty repetitive of what we saw beginning last week. Ideally it wouldn"t have taken up an entire half of the episode, but as I stated it does allow for the rest of the episode to be really fast và exciting.

There are definitely times where I wish the show could just be ten to lớn fifteen minutes long each week. It practically is sometimes with its five minute recaps, but there have been quite a few episodes recently where you might as well have jumped in as far as middle. However much content you need to lớn skip, the second half of this episode is pretty great in terms of having the speed and excitement you"d expect from a shonen manga adaptation. The Luffy vs. Doflamingo kích hoạt is brisk and genuinely exciting. No notably impressive animation, but the editing did all the work in getting my blood pumping & that"s all I can really ask for.

We also get an aster lớn the tricky “is Law dead or not?” question that last week left us with: It turns out that the person doflamingo riddled with bullets was not in fact Law himself, but one of Doffy"s grunts that Law had swapped places with (clothes và all) using his Op-Op powers. Law was face down during all of this, so he was able to switch in và out pretty easily without Doflamingo ever noticing. I vị wonder if that grunt actually died as a result of this. That seems pretty cold blooded for this show.

It all culminates on the moment that Law returns khổng lồ the battle, unleashing a special “Gamma Knife” attack, a strange electricity blade that reminds us that the Op-Op Fruit can basically bởi whatever it wants, as he pierces is straight into Doflamingo"s chest. There"s a stray phản hồi from Law implying that the attack hurst the target from the inside, out. The episode concludes with Law standing over a toppled Doflamingo, ready lớn land a final blow.

For the most part, this is a really energetic episode of the series. If you"re willing to discard the time wasting of the first half (which I am) then I think there are a lot of props khổng lồ give the editing of the backend. Luffy vs. Doflamingo continues lớn be as kinetic as ever and while it"s a little sad that the show can never commit khổng lồ any of the beat-downs it delivers on Law, I never really expected it to lớn to begin with. Law is being given one last go at his arch-nemesis, one last contribution before the meat and potatoes of the Luffy"s side of the fight. In my heart this is only a ten minute episode, & I think it"s a very fun one at that.

Rating: B+

THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. Do NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.----------------------------------------Law & Luffy's teamwork helped deal a lethal blow lớn Doflamingo with Law's Gamma Knife. But that ain't enough to lớn keep Doffy down. Just look at the preview. :v
Entire episode felt slow. Even so, this episode had some good animation for the fight scenes.
I think there should be at least 2 more episodes before the big reveal of "that"! Looking at the dates in the calendar, it's gonna be a Christmas tease và possibly a treat for the New Year's.

Nicely played out by Law. Looks lượt thích it wasn't enough though. Next episode preview looked epic.
I thought this fight would last much longer, but it looks like it is going to over pretty soon. That freaking cage tho.
Finally the Gamma Knife, Was that a new OST that they played during the attack or have they used it before? Preview for next episode looks awesome.
So the first 10 minutes was again still way too stretched out with every frikken part of town random town's people freaking out about the birdcage closing in, BUT I am kind of satisfied with the explanation why Law still lives, I mean, if he survived being hit by all those bullets that'd be hard khổng lồ come back from but yeah shambling away in big ass room, fair enough.HOWEVER,what's the khuyễn mãi giảm giá with Trebol not moving at all during the whole luffy/law combo, I mean sure Doffy thinks he's all-powerful và trebol thinks so too, but still, there's something being called TOO overconfident ^^
Even though I love this One Piece, but your word is absolutely correct. Please stop ruining One Piece anime, put some filler instead, like what they do during 2 year timeskip.
>Calls One Piece shit>Has One Piece avatar>Rated One Piece 9/10These kids lol. When I see comments like this & the pacing I kind of wished the anime picked up the pace so much that it would reach the manga và the anime would have lớn stop for 1-2 years. Then I'd enjoy the kids' cries about why One Piece stopped. *sigh*On to the episode nice comeback from Law, I was expecting Doffy to vì chưng something when I saw him having his palm to his eyes for so long but I guess that'll be shown next time.

wait up... I rated it 9? wow, thanks for letting me know, yên ổn going to change this now.just telling you, i liked this anime untill the punk hazard arc. I dont watch it anymore, i just want khổng lồ see luffy vs doffy animated, depending on it i'll start watching again.
Expected more rage from Luffy in the last ep, but now it makes sense why he didn't totally went nuts. Good Law hasn't died. I think we'll get a filler arc after this one. Seeing how more và more people are complain about the pacing. Although I stopped reading the manga after the time skip this arc really feels dragged and slooow. Và I'm getting really curious about the "Luffy using that" stuff people are writing about. I don't want khổng lồ read the manga... Stahp teasing plz! T...T"

There is & will be for a long time a problem with the pacing sadly. I am also a bit disappointed with that but can't vì chưng anything for it, just enjoy the good stuff. The best thing someone can bởi vì is wait for a lot of episodes lớn gather and then watch them all together. That's what a friend of mine does, he waits until Dressrosa arc is over & then he'll watch them all together. IMO he's doing what everyone that gets impatient with the pacing should do. There's a shitton of anime out there that can keep someone busy for years. People tend to want more và I think having more material lớn watch at once could fix that..BTW the pacing at Punk Hazard was the same, they kept on running for so many episodes I lost counting.
Aren't you people tired of complaining EACH and EVERY WEEK about the pacing? XDI mean, it's tiresome for me to read it, but it must be way worse for you guys... Awesome episode, I have no problem with slow pacing, it is what it is.
The Birdcage is shrinking, everybody will be dead in an hour. But a seriously injured Law is about khổng lồ kill Doflamingo.
I liked it! Law's super special attack seems kind of oddly timed considering the numerous opportunities he's had to lớn use it in this arc (unless I'm misunderstanding something) & it takes a little suspension of disbelief that no one noticed his shambles. Those are nitpicking, though. I'm satisfied, liked the emotional flashbacks, the destruction of Dressrosa and Doflamingo being và evil bastard.I skipped the preview, didn't want khổng lồ know what's coming next. Obviously something, this would be incredibly anticlimactic if it brought down Doffy. :D
5 minute recap5 minute showing people point at shrinking cage*5 minute growling at Doffy, và keep calling his name**3 minute kích hoạt at the end, which was also dragged.****It would make sense to lớn leave the cage, it was shown t cut building to lớn about 2-3 meter slices...wouldnt it make more sense to lớn leave before...i dont know, splits hair on a flea's arse?**Do something about it already. đôi mươi episodes down the line & this is what your vocabulary is reduced.
A few things I don't get:- Law is missing an arm, but the guy he switched with isn't, wasn't that a big give away? Or did he switch the arm as well? I can't really tell.- The strings around the island are a devil fruit's power, shouldn't people that mastered Haki be able to giảm giá with it? (ie Zorro could cut them?), why is everyone running away instead of breaking them... So far no devil fruit has ever been shown to lớn be unbreakable. If Fujitora is as strong as we expect him lớn be, it should feasible for him as well.- Are the strings around the whole country or just the capital? I thought the Island was the country, but whenever they show us people here & there, it always looks lượt thích the capital, so I don't get it.
I'll be honest, I didn't see Law's toàn thân switch trick coming at all. I thought they were just gonna have him get up after taking 20 bullets to lớn the face, not like it'd be the first time that's happened. Glad they did it in a somewhat believable manner this time.As for the rest of the episode, it was OK. Very dragged, with way too many pointless scenes và flashbacks. But that's One piece for you. At least the scene with Law and DF was decent. Too bad his efforts are gonna go to lớn waste. Now I don't watch previews, because I find them lớn be pretty spoilery & pointless tbh, especially for something you only have khổng lồ wait a week for. But it's pretty damn obvious Donflamingo is gonna get up next week and smack Law across the face lol...
that next episode preview is just so damn retarded. This episode ended with a cliffhanger and we thought Doffy's gone for good but a second later that stupid preview showed that Doffy's fighting Luffy I mean how stupid was that? Goddamit this is why I never watch previews. Goddamn stupid
Finally iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit's TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME!!!!!

Pacing was slow but i did lượt thích the episode from when Luffy started fighting & Law began his counterattack and next episode looks good. I guess i give it a 5.5/10 or something.
One Piece has definitely caught my attention again with everything coming close lớn an end. This was an alright episode, shame we have so much footage about people running around town though.Law's plan worked out for him, already knew he couldnt be dead before though, would've been way lớn easy.
I really liked the set up. One of the few things that was nicely done. Also, is no one going to talk about how Law just killed a subordinate using him as a body toàn thân double? He's racking up his inadvertent kill count.
This is the biggest bullshit I've ever seen in One Piece, maybe in every anime ever. This makes Pell surviving look like the most natural thing ever. I hate Law, he's such a bullshit character, he makes Kirito look balanced.

Behold of my awesomeness~ controversial and/or sensitive topics likely devolve into the same repetitive, derogatory, abusive, & harassing comments can no longer be posted. But my feels.

Nicely done by Law.. It looks like they're finally gonna beat Doflamingo, which means they are nowhere near beating Doflamingo lel
Good episode. Law is a very good strategies & used his devil fruit power very beautifully to turn the tide. Next episode looks nice
Ah, he switched bodies. Good khổng lồ see there was a reasonable explanation instead of just "muh willpower." Though I bởi vì find it odd that snot face isn't helping out Flamingo but I guess he still thinks things are under control.
That tension though.Law really came through at the over there- that was a pretty great plan, even if it did mean sacrificing some random soldier lol
He got his bit in, & it's so satisfying seeing Doffy bleed by Law's hand since he's caused him so much tragedy by taking Cora-san away.I honestly love the aspect of both Luffy and Law fighting Doffy together because he's just too strong for them individually. Hopefully, Law can weaken him considerably and then Luffy can deliver a finishing blow!No way is that tacky bird man down yet though...I mean, he's lay down face-palming for god's sake! Definitely has something shady up his sleeve that's for sure.
I don’t think I mentioned Law’s faith in Luffy last episode so I would lượt thích to here. Perhaps the D. Striking again did refer lớn Luffy after all. There was a time I had khổng lồ question if he was using Luffy as a mere pawn, but the fact that he showed some much faith in Luffy and saw his past endeavors, going so far lớn save him in Marineford, I’d say there was always more khổng lồ it than that. Even if Law looks khổng lồ Luffy’s tactics in disdain as they are opposites in nearly everway, there is respect there. What a strong duo these two are. Also, I find it odd that Toei removes Law flipping people off, be it Kid in Sabaody or Doflamingo last episode, it’s a small thing but khổng lồ keep in all the violence và remove that aspect of his badassery makes me a little sad.Although I think the “no one ever dies” curse making it so no one worried that Law was actually dead was slightly detrimental, this ended up with nearly no complaints from me. The only complaint I can make is due to lớn the fact that Oda’s tendency to make us worry when there’s nothing khổng lồ worry about made it so I didn’t get angry at Doflamingo for his cheeky moments. Then again, the fact I didn’t feel much dread allowed for me khổng lồ cackle at his words such as mockingly calling Luffy “Mugiwara-ya” or his chilling confidence in building another kingdom, AKA telling Luffy all his work was for nothing. As for Law’s actual plan, it goes khổng lồ make me consider this the best team fight in One Piece & it strengthens my opinion that Law’s power allows for some of the most creative and satisfying tactics we’ve ever seen. His giả out death was a good one, he created a huge room sacrificing some of his own lifeforce, and toàn thân swapped with a decoy that he must have known the location of. His line “sorry about this my decoy friend” makes me think there’s a chance that wasn’t a dead body but Law’s kill count growing. And with that, we got something that surpassed even the shambles red hawk. Telling Luffy the plan, he charged in và at the last second Law swapped with him, burning the insides of Doflamingo with “gamma knife”. Doflamingo was shocked và gushing blood và Luffy joined in before he could fight back with a painful looking kick.Law is so cool. I love how stone cold and merciless he can be, Monet và this poor toàn thân double are some examples, and his tactics are just out of this world. Be it the insanity of fights like his with Smoker, or the genius of putting Caesar’s heart in his own body, the now iconic red hawk, or this stuff. Paired with his intelligence khổng lồ scope out the premises such as in Punk Hazard when he swapped the sea prism chains, & his guts lớn mock Doflamingo or Vergo as if he was freaking Zoro, he’s got it all. Perhaps all the suffering he's gone through has made him near impenetrable. Ultimately, he crawled khổng lồ Doflamingo with one arm and told Luffy to back off, giving a parallel back khổng lồ when Doffy first shot Law. Back then, Doflamingo said: “Law was originally my subordinate. Responsibility for dealing with him falls to lớn me!” Well, Doflamingo, those words are two sided. As Law put it: “That bastard is my responsibility…!” Too bad it feels like Law may be putting himself in a perfect position for Doffy to get a counter attack.I was thinking about how Law is a somewhat similar situation to lớn what Nami was during Arlong arc, insofar as both of them dedicated their life to stopping one man và this is their chance. If Law wasn’t part of his own crew it would be a perfect time for him lớn join the Straw Hats. He’d have a debt khổng lồ pay to lớn Luffy; unless this is calling it even. And, he’d no longer have a primary goal that ropes him into one particular path. I assume Law is not joining the crew, but having a goal like Nami’s to lớn chart out the world would be the perfect next step for him if we’d follow that formula. That said, making an enemy out of Kaido may rope him into a path of survival until that's done with.P.S. Trebol is doing nothing, huh? Most would agree the allies of Luffy could be doing more, specifically the Wano samurai who have been relegated to lớn cheerleaders which have the energy to put up a fight và could fly to lớn Luffy’s side, but at least Doffy’s boy Trebol is just as useless. BEHEHEHE!
